I've told Carl to either stay away from Frank or if he must, raise his hand and let the teacher know Frank is bugging him. I don't want Carl to become a tattletale, but it seems I'm hearing Frank's name every time Carl gets in trouble...

My son Carl is 6 nd in kindergarten. For the most part he does pretty well. His teacher says he's sweet and thoughtful, but he still comes home and tells
me his "bee was taken off the hive" for 5 minutes. This meas he loses 5 minutes of playtime for something he did. And usually, when I ask what
happened, little Frank's name is mentioned as well.

there's one in every class. It's not tattletaling when it's something like that. Hope it gets better for Carl and his bee can stay on the hive all
the time

Me too. I hope that Frank gets the message quickly that he is not interested in having that kind of fun.

You know, he's the cutest little kid--reminds me of the kid from Jerry McGuire--but he's a little rip! I was going to mention something to Carl's
teacher on parent's night, but when I was in the classroom, so was Frank's mom! LOL So I pretty much decided not to say anything then..**awkward**

Aww Carl is too cute. I would just tell him to ignore Frank unless Frank wants to play nice. Once Frank gets the hint, he'll stop causing trouble.

If it becomes a habitual thing with Frank, I would most certainly talk to the teacher. It sounds like they are rubbing each other the wrong way.
Carl is a cutie and I know he is a sweet little guy. But like most children, if you have one kid who is bugging you all the time, patience wears thin.

Well every time I see Carl's teacher, she tells me how sweet he is and how thoughtful he is. He even brought home a certificate: Outstanding Award for
Cooperation at Playtime! I'm just realy hoping Frank isn't in his 1st grade class with him.

Sounds to me like Frank really wants to be Carl's friend but doesn't really know how to go about it. Boys tend to be like that sometimes. My fingers
are crossed that Carl doesn't have to deal with him in class next year. He's due for a Frank Break! lol!

Not yet. Just got his report card home today and she did have a comment on it about Carl has to start playing and getting along with others better. So his own
behavior is slipping a bit...*sigh* I just keep reminding myself that it's Kindergarten for crying out loud!

With the fun of school years comes the influence (good & bad) of other children. If they have bad manners, or poor listening skills, ect., it often rubs
off on those around them. All you can do is reinforce good behavior and work on the bad.

Exactly Dee. But you've witnessed both sides of him! I know inside he's a really sweet kid--he's my snuggler, kisser, hugger etc...
